PENCIL AS "WINDER"
A useful hint for the girl with permanent waved curls is to includo a pencil in her vanity case, as this makes an excellent "winder." Comb out each curl and roll it up (either outwards or inwards, as required) over the pencil. Withdraw the pencil, and pin the curl in place with an invisible hairpin. If the hair is slightly damped before the curls are wound .and the hairpins are left in position until the hair dries, the curls can then be unpinned, combed out, and rolled airily over the finger, and the coiffure is ready for any festivity. If the hairpins are to remain in overnight, there is no need to dampen the hair.
