AN ANGRY DRUMMER
Sentence of fifty-six days' detention followed a court-martial at Windsor on John Albert Murphy, a drummer, aged 18, of the Ist Coldstream Guards. He was found guilty of striking a superior officer. . It was stated at the court-martial that a sergeant, told Murphy to swing his arms properly. Ho became annoyed and hit the sergeant.
