A bridge drive, organised by tho Whangarei Croquet Club, was held in Pelita'B studio, Whangarei this week, sixteen tables being engaged in play. The room was decorated with bowls of luculia. The hostesses were: Mesdames A. R. Crane. C. Bissett, G. Marshall and J. G. MacLeod. The guests were welcomed by the president, Mrs. G. H. Morrish, and at tho conclusion of play the prizes for tho highest score wero presented to Mrs. D. McLeod and Miss Jean Stewart _ i „ _ Others present included: Mrs. Iv. Radcliffe, Mrs. G. Parkes, who motored through to Auckland for a short holiday, has returned home.
