ESTATE AGENT'S DEATH
| SHOTGUN DISCHARGE CAR OWNER'S EVIDENCE "I am positive the tragedy was an said John Donnelly, commercial traveller, when giving evidence yesterday afternoon, at the inquest into tho death of Kenneth McKinley Rutherford, an Auckland estate agent, who was shot in witness' motor-car near Silverdale last Sunday afternoon. Witness said the deceased arid he were members of a party of four who went pheasant shooting. They worked several properties near Silverdale, and returned to the two cars about 2.45. Deceased was ahead of the others, and seated in witness' car, with his gun between his logs. When moving over in the seat to make room for witness, his gun discharged, and ho received the fnll force of the shot in his head. He did not move, it being witness' opinion that death was instantaneous. Deceased must have omitted to unload his gun, in which a discharged cartridge and a live one were found. The coroner, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., intimated that he would conclude j the inquest on receipt of a report from j Wellington regarding the shotgun,
