SEASON OPENS TO-DAY Tho talented young Now Zealand actress Elaine Hamill will make her first appearance in Auckland in "Fresh Fields," to commence a season at His Majesty's Theatre this afternoon at two o'clock and to-night at eight. "Fresh Fields" will also present the popular .New Zealand artist, Miss Fthel Morrison, who has achieved one of her best, successes ns Lady Marv in Novello's delightful play, " Fresh Fields," is one of the best and most popular comodios tho stage lias known i'or many years, its two years' run in London, and its successes in Sidney, Melbourne and Wellington proving this. The latest J. C. Williamson comedy company is said to be the finest since tho late Dion JJouecieault's organisation visited Now Zealand. Miss Morrison is generally acknowledged to bo one of the greatest comedy and dramatic actresses the Australian or New Zealand stage lias produced, and she is popularly known for her artistry in London and New York. " Fresh Fields " will be staged for six evening performances and on Saturday no\t tlie thrilling domestic tragedy, "The Shining Hour," will be staged. On Thursday, June 25, and following evenings "As Husbands Go" will be staged, and the final production of the season will be "Night Must Fall." Booking arrangements for "Fresh Fields" are advertised.
