THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE ADVANCE IN CEMENTS # Following tho announcement of n bonus dividend and publication of tho year's accounts, Wilsons Cement appreciated on the - Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday and business passed ] s (5d higher at 45s (3d. There was a hotter demand for Dominion Breweries and sales <'U 2-is 9d reflected a recovery of 3d in price. Wool wort lis (N.ZA continued to ease, a parcel being secured 2s 6d cheaper at £'B 12s Od. Among Australian industrials, Broken Hills reacted to recent high levels and tvore taken Is 3d lower at 68s. Further weakness in British Tobaccos and Kauri Timbers accounted for price reductions in these issues. Hunio Pipe made further headway with a transfer 2d dearer at IPs 8(1. A parcel of P. and-O. deferred stock changed hands at 2'!s, which is Is 3d lower than a month ago. In 'the first business this year. Howard Smith were Id dearer at 19s 2d, but intervening business in the South has .been at much lower levels. Government loans had firm support, offers for some issues being lifted by ss. The only business was in the 19-10 4 per cent stock at the current rate. The banks market was dull. Holders of New Zealands weakened slightly after further dealing at 4os 3d. "Bidding for Unions was on a lower basis, while levels for English, Scottish and Australian closed wide. Some of the insurance issues rereived better support. South British added 3d in a transfer at I'Os 3d.
