MILLIONAIRE'S GIFT
AIR RACE TO SOUTH AFRICA JOHANNESBURG CENTENARY LONDON. May 81 Mr. Schlcsingor, a South African millionaire, has donated £IO,OOO as a prize for an air raco from London to Johannesburg in connection with the Johannesburg Centenary Exhibition. Tho race is to bo confined to ICmpire pilots and aircraft, and the. organisation of the race will be under the control ol the Hoyal Aero Club.
Mr. Schlesinger says: "1 want to see the people of South Alrica air-minded. South Africa, which is now one of tho most prosperous members of tho British Commonwealth, is unprotected and is open to any air attack."
