May 13 Catford Saints beat Strcatham and Mitcham Giants at Mitcham Stadium in a London major league baseball match by 21 runs to nil. George NVpia. the New Zealand Rugby football fullback, played for Mitcham, but, apart from a smart catch in the right field and a single, he was not outstanding Mitcham's hatting was poor, no player being able to make more than a iirstbase hit Catford, on the other hand, had some good batting, particularly in the fourth innings, when 12 runs were scoreu.
