PRESENTATION
Presentations were tendered tq Mr. and Mrs. W. Kirkbride, of Awakeri, near Whakatane, on the eve of their departure from the district. Mr. Kirkbride has farmed at Awakeri for three years and has left to settle at Matangi, in the Waikato. Mr. G. H. Sturgess, on behalf of the Awakeri residents, presented Mr. Kirkbride with a cheque, and a gift was made to Mrs. Kirkbride by the women's division of the Farmers' Union.
