HAMILTON, Monday
There was an increase in the number of births registered in Hamilton last month and a decrease in deaths and marriages, compared with the figures for the corresponding period last year. The figures for last month were as follows, those of May, 1935, being given in parentheses:—Births, 40 . (35); deaths, 22 (23); marriages, 2i (23) ► The figures for the first five months of the year are as follows, those for the corresponding period last year being given in parentheses: —Births, 239 (218); deaths, il6 (119); marriages, 136 (115).
