SALE OF RESTLESS
NEW L CLASS BOAT

The well-known yacht Restless, lately owned by Mr. T. G. Bunting, has been sold by Mr. A. Donovan to Mr. E. P. Sirncox, of Auckland. Restless is 40ft. overall, with a beam of lift. 6in., and was built by Messrs. Tercel Brothers in 1921 for their own use. She was then cutter rigged and during their ownership won a number of races, inelubing the ocean race from Auckland to Tauranga. The yacht was afterwards purchased by Mr. J. McLean, of Wellington, "who converted her into a ketch and used her for cruising in the Sounds. Several years later Mr. McLean brought Restless to Auckland and at the end of last season sold her to Mr. Bunting. The 45ft. motor-yacht Alcestis, formerly owned by Mr. R. Butcher, of Hamilton, has been sold by Messrs. McGarry and Company to Mr. A. R. Seccombe, of Remuera. Alcestis was built by the late Mr. J. Slattery for Mr. P. R. Colebrook and was then known as Mollie. Since then she has elinnged hands on several occasions. Tho 28ft. launch Ibis, lately owned bv Mr. F. Wilson ( has changed hands,. her new owner being Captain Crossley, of Bayswater. Good progress is being made by Messrs. Lidgard Brothers on the new 22ft. L class yacht for Mr. S. Naismith. The boat has been planked and timbered and work is now proceeding on the dock. Another now 22-footer, designed by Messrs. Lidgard Brothers, will be built by Mr. D. lJogers for his own use. A start on this craft has already been made.
