TOUR OF BOWLERS
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA A party of Auckland bowlers will leave by the Monowai on Friday on a visit to Sydney and Brisbane. The party will consist of Messrs. A. J. Parker, S. J. Franklin, S. Dudley, 11. Bockett, F. Binns, J. Waters (Auckland CI lib), 11. Jenkin, It. Higgott (Carlton), and J. Harrison (Epsom). Messrs. Parker, Jenkin, Higgott, Harrison arid Franklin will bo accompanied by their wives. The tourists will bo joined in Sydney by G. Deare, formerly of Dnnedin, whoso rink won the Dominion championship in 1931, F. Whittle and .7. Y. Dixon, ex-Auck-landers, and G. Redmond, Auckland, who is at present on a visit to Sydney. The Auckland players will attach themselves to the Victorian touring ptrty of five rinks and a tour will be made of the towns north of Brisbane. A nice compliment has been paid to the players, as the badge which has been struck bears the letters "N.Z." as well as "V." besides the Dominion's emblematical fern leaf. Mr. Parker considers that with the New Zealand players already in Australia there will be fully 20 to 25 playing there this winter.
