The new team wus up against some experienced players, which included A. J. Aitken, Waikato centre-three-quarter, and several Morrinsville representatives. who are holders of the Peace Cup. The Maoris scored first with a penalty goal by J. Brown and they had the better of the game for thirty minutes. Just before half-time Carter got over for Old Boys and Aitken converted.
