When the Training College backs did manage to effect a clearance, the ball seldom travelled past the halfway mark l>efote it was regained bv Somerville and sent down to the circle. Training College raids into Scsmerville territory were generally of an individual nature, and were beaten off with little difficulty. In the first half goals wero scored by Pickup (4). Cochrane ('2) and Braithwaite (2). In the second spell Braithwaite secured (3). Cochrane (2) and VVellbourne (1).
