SIGNALMAN'S DEATH
WELL-KNOWN TO TRAVELLERS EX-NAVY BOXING CHAMPION [FROM .OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] VANCOUVER, April 22 A colourful personality known to seafaring men and ocean travellers, Mr. Harry Cox, has died in Vancouver. Since the Groat War ho has spoken to every vessel, largo or small, entering or leaving the port of Vancouver, from his eerie post on the summit of the Lion's Gate, at the Narrow's. A native of Kent, ho joined the Navy as a hoy, and was at one time welter-weight champion of the Mediterranean Fleet. He performed notable service, picking up with searchlights craft that slipped into port under cover of darkness during the hectic days of rum-running oa the Pacific Coast.
