MIDLAND COUNTIES
GATHERING IN HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A contingent of 48 members of the Auckland Midland Counties' Association visited Hamilton last evening and was entertained at a social given by the members of the Hamilton Association. There was an attendance of 180. Mr. J. T. lieid, vice-president, presided, and welcomed the guests. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, and the Dean of Hamilton, the Very llev. T. P. Weatherhog, also spoke. The president and vice-president of the Auckland Association, Mr. H. V. Hampton and Mr. J. Stringer respectively, returned thanks. Presentations were made to Mr. and Mrs. Hampton in recognition of their services in helping to form the Hamilton Association. The evening was devoted to dancing and listening to musical and elocutionary items.
