KAITAIA TOWN BOARD
ELECTION OF A MEMBER [by telkgraph—own correspondent] KAITAIA, Saturday The following is the result of the election held to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the Kaitaia Town Board caused by the resignation of a member: —J. Thornton, 134 votes (elected); G. Millar, 113. There was little interest taken in the election until the day of the polling, which was heavier than was anticipated, about 50 per cent of the electors recording their vote.
