FAMILY REUNION
MEETING AT AUCKLAND - DAUGHTER AWAY FOR 33 YEARS The steps of the central post office yesterday morning were the scene of an impressive reunion of a family, one member of which had been separated from the rest for 33 years. Travelling specially from Dargaville. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dobbs came to Auckland in order to meet their four daughters, Mesdames S. Webb and J. Stuart, of Hamilton, W. West, of Raetihi, and L. Lowrie, of Milford. Mrs. West had not seen her parents nor any of her sisters since leaving the family home in Hawke's Bay in 1803. The meeting was a particularly happy one and both Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs agreed that they would not have recognised their daughter. The members of the family enjoyed luncheon. together and left for their respective homes last evening.
