CHANGES AND PROMOTIONS MOTOR SERVICE OFFICERS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday The Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, announces stafF changes as follows: — Mr. H. Valentine, chief accountant, appointed second assistant to the general manager; Mr. W. Bishop, assistant chief accountant; to succeed as chief accountant; Mr. S. C. i3oyle, manager of road motor services, in future to have the title of superintendent of road services; Mr. F. K. Mackay, chief clerk to the general manager, appointed assistant to the chief accountant; Mr. R. R. Gow, of Hutt, appointed bus manager at Dunedin. Mr. W. Rogers, stationrnaster at Christchurch, appointed transport officer in the district traffic manager's offico, Christchurch; Mr. W. E. McKay, of Dunedin, to succeed Mr. Rogers as stationrnaster at Christchurch; Mr. J. Sewers, appointed goods agent at Christchurch; Mr. C. A. Legge, of Christchurch, appointed stationrnaster at Greymouth; Mr. A. L. Smith, confirmed as chief clerk to the commercial manager.
Mr. R. J. A. Stirling, of Wellington, appointed transport officer at the district traffic manager's office at Dunedin; Mr. F. G. Craig, of Auckland, appointed chief clerk in the superintendent of transportations office at Wellington; Mr. C. L. Blackburn, pending a permanent appointment, to replace Mr. Mackay as chief clerk to the genera! manager. Mr. Sullivan remarked on the retirement of many senior officers in the near future and tho importance of taking a reasonably long view, so that there would bo no lack of experienced men well equipped to assume tho responsibilities attached to the senior positions.
