CONCERT AT INFIRMARY
INMATES entertained Warm appreciation was accorded members of Mr. John A. Gow s concert party by the inmates of the Auckland, Infirmary on Tuesday evening, whe4 a bright musical entertainment was provided, under the auspices of the Onehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital lAuxiliary. The programme, which was arranged by Mr. Gow, consisted of vocal solos by Mrs. Winifred Osborne, Miss Edwina Foote t Miss M. Gow and Mr. J. O'Malley; pianoforte solos by' Miss Becky Pelham, piano-accordeon items by Mr. M. Rafferty and mouth organ numbers by Mr. F. Broadribb. Mr. J. Pelham contributed a violin solo, Mr. R. Davies and Mr. H. Neave cornet solos and duets, and Miss Wynne James * furnished elocutionary items. A feature of the programme was the dancing by little Betty Jeffries, aged five, of the Highland fling and sailor's hornpipe to the accompaniment of the bagpipes played by Mr. W. Cowper. Miss B. Watts was also successful in her fancy dancing. Mrs. J. A. Stewart, Miss Becky Pelham and Miss H. Palmer were the accompanists, while Mr, J. A. Gow made an efficient stage manager. R.i
