BUILDING AT WAIHI
BEST YEAR IN TWENTY-FIVE [BY TEL KG RATH—own correspondent] WAIHI, Thursday Permits for 21 new buildings, 12 in the town area and nine at Waihi Beach, were issued by the Waihi Borough Council during the year ended March 31. The value of the work is £4423 and £1192 respectively. Including additions and alterations, the total work authorised was valued at £861)9, £5616 ol which concerned thetown portion of the borough and £3083 the beach. These figures are the highest tor 25 years.
