RETAIL BUTCHERS' UNION
HAMILTON PROPOSAL [from our oWx correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday A meeting of employees in the retail butchery trade was held in Hamilton last evening with the object of forming a new industrial union. After considerable discussion it was decided to call a further meeting at an earlv date, the. new union to function as soon as it could be formed. The following officers were provisionally elected: —President, Mr. W. Smith; vice-president, Mr. J. Shanks; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Miller; executive, Messrs. S. Sedgewick, A. Cowley, G. Neil, E. Edwards, D. Harris.
