FAIRFIELD BRIDGE
ONE ARCH COMPLETED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Thursday The woodwork encasing the arch of the main eastern span of the new • bridge which is being built across the Waikato River at Fairfield has been* removed, and the concreting of the decking of this section of the bridge . will be completed this week Fifty of X the 100 poles required to form the foundation of the next pier have been driven, and the work of building th e pier is proceeding. A good deal remains to be done before the two arches yet to be built are completed and the i*iver is spanned. It will probably take another eight months to complete the contract.
