LICENSING INDUSTRIES
PROMISE OF FULL INQUIRY NO DRASTIC ACTION IN VIEW [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] "WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Government's proposal to licence industries has given rise to some concern, and it has been suggested that the Government may decide on an immediate system of licensing bakeries and eliminating uneconomic units. However, it was stated in official quarters to-day that the baking industry has no reason to fear that any drastic action will be taken beforo a full inquiry has been made and all relevant factors have been considered, including wages. In every industry there would be the fullest possible inquiry beforo any action of a drastic nature was taken, and all sides would bo given ail opportunity to state their case.
