TRADE TREATY
BRITAIN AND ARGENTINA,? TERMINATION PROPOSED LONDON, May 6 The Sun-Herald news service says it learns that letters are being exchanged for the purpose of terminating the trade treaty between Britain and Argentina. Britain is entitled to give six months' notice of her intention to denounce the treaty as from May 7, but instead is concluding an arrangement whereby the treaty can be terminated on November 7 without six months' notice. The termination of this treaty vitally concerns the Dominions, especially Australia, because the extent of the Argentine's future beef exports to Britain will be dependent upon the new meat agreement between Britain and Australia, which will replace the expired Ottawa agreement.
