THE DARDANELLES
REFORTIFICATION PLAN SUPPORT FOR TURKEY BALKAN STATES APPROVE (Received May 6, 5.5 p.m.) BELGRADE. May 5 As a result of a conference between representatives of Turkey, Greece, Rumania and Yugoslavia, these Powers agreed upon mutual territorial protection, and approved Turkey's proposals to refortify the Dardanelles. The agreement provided that if a State outside the Balkan Pact attacked one of its signatories, these should confer in regard to action in connection with the Straits.
