Miss M. Taylor, of Remuera Road, will leave to-day for Taupo. Mrs. T. H. Lowry, of Hawke's Bay, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. F. M. Brodie left yesterday by motor-car on a short visit to Rotorua. Mrs. J. A Humphries, of Rotorua, is visiting Auckland and is at the Central Hotel. Mrs. Donald Ogilvie, of Remuera Road, has returned from a visit to Christchurch. Mrs. C. 0. Beeson, of Remuera, left, yesterday on a month's tour of the North Island. Mrs. PI Ransom, of Whakatane, who has been visiting Auckland, will return home this morning. Mrs. H. R. H. Chalmers, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. M. Hirst, Upland Road, Remuera. Mrs. M. France and Miss Patricia France, of Remuera Road, have returned from a visit to Wanganui. Miss Monica Downey, of Rotorua, j who lias been spending a holiday in Auckland, returned homo yesterday. Mrs. J. M. Wilson, Portland Road, Remuera, is visiting Wellington for the autumn golf foursomes at Miramar. Overseas visitors at the Grand Hotel include: Mrs. A. Sieger (London), Mrs. J. Osborne (Australia), Mrs. Neill (Sheffield, England). Miss M. Bes-Jarvins, who is at present at the Station Hotel, will leave by the Mariposa on Saturday for the United States and Canada. Miss Jean Wilkinson, of Rukekohe, left last night by the limited express for Wellington, where she will join relatives on an extended tour of the South Island. Mrs. Marshall Laing, of New Lynn, accompanied by her husband, will leave by the Mariposa for Honolulu on Saturday, en route for England. They expect to' be absent about six months. Mrs. Peter Bobertson, Allendale Road, Mount Albert, will leave by the Monowai to-morrow for Orange, New South Wales, where she will spend the winter with her daughter, Dr. Susan Buckingham. Lady Buckleton and Miss J. Buckleton, of Wellington, who have been in Europe for the past 14 months, are now in Sydney on their return journey to New Zealand, having travelled by way of South Africa in the Theinistocles. Recent visitors from Auckland at the Hermitage included: Mrs. H. Alder, Mrs. Snelling, Mrs. C. llielly, Mrs. I'. Mcßorie, Miss A. Sullivan, Miss A. M. ! Hawker, Miss A. Wallis and Miss C. i Roberts.
At the Station Hotel are:—Mrs. W. Cumming (Te Kuiti), Mrs. R. Bullock Webster (Patumahoe), Miss E. Holmes (Sydney), Miss K. Noble (Morrinsville), Miss H. Noble (Thames), and the Misses C. M. and E. Seldwick (Rotorua). Visitors from Auckland at the Chateau during the past week included: Mrs. Watson Arthur, Mrs. Wharfe, Mrs. Bruce Burgess, Mrs. F. Clark, Mrs. H. F. Winn, Mrs. Kenneth Johnston, Miss J. W. Shaw, Miss Hogarty and Miss D. Clark. Under the auspices of the Onehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, an enjoyable afternoon was eiven the inmates of the Epsom Infirmary last week. The old people were taken by bus to Point Erin Park and, after walking around the grounds, afternoon tea was served. On behalf of the guests Mr. Crook thanked the members of the branch for their hospitality, and Mrs Kirkham (president) acknowledged the thanks.
