RANKINGS OF PLAYERS CRAWFORD SECOND ON LIST SYDNEY, April 28 Quist supersedes Crawford as the first ranking Australian tennis player, Crawford losing top place on the list for the first time in five years. The rankings announced by the Australian Lawn Tennis Association are:— Men.—Quist 1, Crawford 2, Hopman and Bromwich, equal, 3, McGrath 5, Kay 6, Turnbull 7, Schwartz and Moon, equal, 8, Thompson, 10. Women.—Miss Hartigan and Miss Coyne, equal, 1, Miss Wynne 3, Mrs. Hopman 4, Miss Blick 5, Miss Hattersley and Miss D. Stevenson, equal, 6, Miss G. Griffiths 8, Miss D. Weston 9, Miss M. Hardcastle and Miss J. Wilson, equal, 10.
