LR. J. BOYD TRANSFERRED Afte* nearly nine years' service in Auckland, Dr. J> Boyd, assistant medical officer of health for the Central Auckland district, has been notified or his transfer to the equivalent position at Christchurch, and will leave shortly to take up his new duties. /. Since the constitution of the \» a >" kato health district last year Dr. Bovd has been in charge of the Thames-1 e Aroha area of the central district, uml«;r Dr. T. J. Hughes. He joined the department in 1920, and before his aP" pointment to Auckland was assistant medical officer at Wellington and Dunedin. His successor has not been announced, but the position will be filled temporarily by Dr. It. H. Makgill. .
