THROWN INTO FENCE

CHILD RIDER'S INJURY [by TELEGRAPH—OWN correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH. Tuesday Severe lacerations of tho face were suffered by Boris Jonas, aged six, of Waitara, when she was thrown from her pony head first into a barbed wire fence this afternoon. Tho child was riding home from school with her brother, aged 10. The pony was frightened by a dog and both children were thrown. Tho boy escaped with bruises, but the girl had her face so severely torn on the barbs that she had to be taken to the New Plymouth Hospital.
