AMERICA IN 1935 HUGE TOTAL ESTIMATED CHICAGO. April QG The magazine American Business estimates that the national gambling bill in 1935 totalled 6,600,000,000 dollars, of which 2,000,000,000 were wagered on racecourses, 1,000,000,000 wore sent abroad for various sweepstakes, and 100,000,000 were spent on "tip sheets."
