WHEAT INDUSTRY
MINISTER'S WORK PRAISED SUPPORT FROM GROWERS [BY TELEGBAPH —I BESS ASSOCIATION] CHRIS rCHURCH, Monday Keen appreciation of the efforts of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. I). G. Sullivan, to stabilise the wheal; industry of New Zealand was expressed at a meeting of the electoral committee of the United Wheat Growers (New Zealand), a body which represents practically every wheat-grower in the Dominion. The meeting, wh ch was attended by delegates from every growing district in New Zealand, passed a resolution thanking the Minister for his work and sent the following telegram to him: — "The following resolution was carried unanimously at the electoral committee meeting held in Christchurch, at which elected representatives were present from all districts: 'The electoral committee of the United Wheat Growers, representing 7000 wheatgrowers in all parts of New Zealand, desires to convey to the Minister of Industries and Commerce its sincere appreciation of his el Forts to stabilise the wheat industry, and promises the Government its co-operation in the working of the scheme.' "
