WORK ON FARMS
Sir, —I believe in giving credit where it is due. Your correspondent Mr. Alex. Boyd says that he has to meet the man who has white sheets to sleep between. Well, I have to meet the man who has not white sheets on his bed. All the men employed here in Gordonton that I know have sheets on their beds. I have been on farms most of my life and have found everything to my satisfaction. Like Mr. Howard Boyd, I have always had my own whare, and have the general privileges of a son. I do not have long hours, 5 a.m. to G p.m. being the average day, and I think this is general with most farms. 1 do not say these things to praise my employers, but to show that good conditions do prevail on most farms. Gordonton. Reuben S. Davis.
