ELECTION OF OFFICERS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday A marked improvement on the previous season was recorded in the report of the Hamilton Orphans' Club, presented at the annual meeting. The balance-sheet showed a surplus of £2.J on the year's work. The membership was 145.• The election of officers resulted:— Guardian, Mr. A. E. Sandford; president, Mr. R. R. Paterson; committee, Messrs. E. L. Watkins, A. C. Watkins, A. Grant. W. S. Dingle, W. Davidson, L. W. Faville; secretary, Mr. E. V. Reisterer. It was decided to open the new season on May 9.
