PUBLIC NOTICES ,\ UCKLAND METROPOLITAN MILK il COUNCIL. MILK PRICES AND LEVY. At a Mooting of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council held on 24th day of April. 193 G. it was resolved: — A.—That as from tho Ist day of June, 193G, until revoked or altered by tho Council, the levy payable to the Council by .Milk Vendors under tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk Act, 1933, shall be id (ono farthing) per gallon. . B.—That the following prices for milk and cream be to come into operation on the 9th day of May, 193 G. nnd to remain in forco until the Bth day of September, 1936. 1. —PRICE TO BE PAID TO A DAIRYMAN BY A MILK VENDOR: (a) For milk (save only in any case whore a different price ia fixed). Hid per gallon if delivery is taken at tho dairy premises (i.e., tho farm), and otherwise Is o}d per gallon loss in either case such ono of the following deductions as may be applicable, namely—(l) In the case of milk purchased by a Milk Vendor and chilled, but not pasteurised by him, a deduction of 3d per gallon. (2) In the case of milk purchased by a Milk Vendor and pasteurised by him. a deduction of lid per gallon. (b) For separated cream bought for cream trade—on the basis of Is 6d per lb butter-fat. (c) For milk for separation »into cream on the basis that 12 gallons of milk will produce one gallon of cream, 6d per gallon. If delivery of cream takes place elsewhere than at the dairy premises tho cost of transport to be borne by tho purchaser. (d) In respect of milk sold by a Milk Vendor for consumption in any Public Hospital or Infirmary or on any ship to wl)ich the price of lid per gallon fixed by resolution passed the 15th day of November, 1935, is applicable tho price to be paid by the Milk Vendor to the Dairyman or Dairymen from whom he purchases such milk shall be as follows: (1) Where the milk is pasteurised by tho Milk Vendor .. 8d per gallon (2) Where the milk is chilled by the Milk Vendor but not pasteurised by him . . (e) In respect of milk sold by a Milk Vendor in the quantity of 20 gallons or over in any one day to an ice cream manufacturer for the manufacture of ice cream the price to be paid by the Milk Vendor to the Dairyman or Dairymen from whom he purchases such milk shall be as follows: (1) Where the milk is pasteurised by the Milk Vendor . . 5d per gallon (2) Where the milk is chilled by the Milk Vendor but not pnsteurised by him . . 53d per gallon (3) Where the milk is neither chilled nor pasteurised by' the Milk Vendor . . . . (a) To a Roundsman not being the proprietor of a milk shop for .milk bought for resule on a milk round . . . . Is Id per gallon (b) To the proprietor of a milk shop whether or not he operates a milk round as well—(1) Where same is bought in Quantities of 10 gallons or over in any one delivery. Is Id per gallon for such of the milk as is bought for resale on such milk round (if any) and Is 2d per gallon for the remainder. (2) Where same is bought in Quantities under 10 gallons in any one delivery, Is Id per gallon for such of the milk as is bought for resale on such milk round (if any) and Is 5Jd per gallon for the remainder. For the purpose of this Resolution "Milk Shop" means any shop, room, building, or part of a building in or at which milk is sold or offered for sale by retail, provided that no room or building or part thereof used as a restaurant, tea room, milk bar or counter, or like place where milk is sold wholly or mainly for consumption on the premises shall be deemed to be a milk shop or any part thereof. 3.—PRICE TO BE CHARGED BY MILK VENDORS FOR MILK SOLD TO ANY PERSON OR CORPORATION FOR USE AND NOT FOR RESALE OR TO ANY PERSON OR CORPORATION FOR USE OR RESALE IN ANY RESTAURANT. TEA ROOM. MILK BAR OR COUNTER OR LIKE PLACE WHERE MILK IS SOLD WHOLLY OR MAINLY FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE PREMISES (SAVE ONLY IN ANY CASE WHERE A DIFFERENT PRICE IS FIXED). (a) In quantities of 40 gallons and over in any one day Is 3d per gallon (b) In quantities of under 40 gallons and not less than 10 gallons in any one day .. Is 4d per gallon (o) In quantities of under 10 gallons and not less than 3 gallons in any one day . . Is 5d per gallon (d) In Quantities of under 3 gallons and not less than 1 gallon in any one day Is 7d per gallon Bottled milk in each of tho foregoing cases to be 2d per gallon extra. (e) In quantities of under 1 gallon in any one day—(l) Loose milk .. .. 5Jd per quart (2) Bottled milk .. 6d per quart In the application of tho foregoing prices each delivery of milk at any premises not being those of the Vendor or purchaser of such milk shall be treated as if it were a separate sale of such milk to the occupier of such premises. 4.—PRICE TO BE CHARGED BY MILK VENDORS FOR CREAM. SAVE ONLY IN ANY CASE WHERE A DIFFERENT PRICE IS FIXED (PRICE IN EACH CASE TO INCLUDE DELIVERY): (a) Sold by wholesale for resale, 8s 3d per gallon (b) Sold to any person or corporation for use and not for resale—(l) Where the quantity sold is not less than 5 gallons in any one day .... . . 8s per gallon (2) Where the quantity sold is less than 5 gallons and not less than 1 quart in any ono day, 9s per gallon (3) Where sold loose (or in sealed bottles) in quantities of less than a quart in any one day (a) For }-pint fid (b) For $ pint gd (c) For 1 pint Is 4d (4) Where sold in enrtons or other containers of a like nature (not being bottles) in quantities of less than a quart in any one day— ' (a) For 4 ounces . . .. 5d (b) For 8 ounces .. .. 9 r j (c) For 16 ounces .. ..
