KILDARE CONSOLIDATED SAME LOSS RECORDED A loss of £36, the same as in the v? previous year, is shown in the accounts-:o_ of the Kildare Consolidated - Gold Min- JT ing Company, Limited (Otago), for the year ended December 31. The amount of gold won was small, as development '* work was carried out during the period, revenue from this source being £1212 * 16s 6d, compared with £lßl3 9s 4d in . the previous year. The Teport states that y difficulties were faced in the develop- v. ment work which were not apparent in the early stages. No sluicing'could . be carried out while development was proceeding. During the year a consider;able amount of top material had to be - stripped down to the bottom layers, carrying fine gold. Work was now being started on these bottom layers, but"-' until this was taken out to the bottom no accurate estimate of the results likely to be obtained could be given. •/ Notice was received in February that, British Developments, Limited, did not intend to exercise its option, : and the . s payments made for the option now become part of the company's property. .j. Worksop Extended (West Coast). —■ Last week, 270z for 132 hours and 10,000 yards. Argo (West Coast). —Last . week, »■ 420z. for 93 hours and 11,000. yards. Maori Gully . Elevating operations on No. 6 paddock were commenced on April 3. BRIAN BORU DREDGE Following on the disposal of the debenture issue, the Brian Boru Dredging Company (West Coast) has let a contract for the reconditioning of, the dredge. The work will be commenced immediately, and it is expected that the dredge will be ready to recommence operations, at the end of June or early in July. , . .. . ■ : ■ • -O BULOLO PRODUCTION vl For the month of March the total. gross production amounted to i6,0050z.
