OBITUARY
MRS. E. S. WITHERS The death occurred yesterday at her residence in Parnell of Mrs. E. S. Withers, who was widely known for her generous and kindly nature. Mrs. Withers was the widow of the late Mr. Edward Stroude Withers, who died some 14 years ago. She is survived by her five sons, Messrs. Trevor, Harry, Maurice, John and Wvnn Withers, all of whom are residents of Auckland. The funeral will take place to-day, following a service to be held in St. Mary's Cathedral. MRS. ANNIE WEBB The death has occurred of Mrs. Annie Webb, wife of the late 31 r. Thomas Webb, of Mount Albert. Mrs. Webb was the daughter of the late Captain James Spry, of the 1-ltn Foot Regiment, and was born in Auckland "■* years ago. In her youth she was a gifted singer and took a prominent part in the activities of the Choral Society. She married in ISS2, Mr. Webb being the founder of tho firm of Thomas Webb and Company, Limited. She lived in Mount Albert for over 40 years. Mrs. Webb is survived bv seven children, Mrs. Warburton and Miss liuth Webb, of Kohimarama, Mrs. Ashton, of Henderson, Mrs. Avery, of Blenheim, Mr. J. H. Webb, of Auckland, and Messrs. S. G. AVebb and T. A. W r ebb, o;f Sydney.
