RISE IN EGG PRICES BRUSSELS SPROUTS APPEAR A further rise of Id for all grades of eggs was the principal change in retail produce prices during the week. Supplies are rapidly falling with the end of the laying season at hand. The fruit market has experienced a scarcity of tomatoes, which are selling at higher prices. The first of the season's Brussels sprouts are to hand and are available at 8d per lb. Prices for meat, fish, bacon, ham, cheese and butter are unchanged.
