Amazing Popularity Achieved

"THE MUSIC GOES ROUND ! ' AND ROUND" Amazing popularity has been achieved by the song "The Music Goes Round and Around," the film rights of which the Columbia Corporation purchased for a huge sum. The film featuring the Broadway stars, Harry Richmond and Rochelle Hudson, will be released in New Zealand at an early date. The American .magazine Variety states that within two weeks of the publication of the sheet music 500,000 copies were sold in America, and that it was the greatest sensation in musio for years. The song was selling over counters at tho rate of one copy a minute. Three famous phonograph companies have distributed, it, and a tie, a sofa and a cigarette-holder have been named after it. Bandmasters have received more requests for it than for any previous "rage." One 'broadcasting station played it no fewer than 28 times in one night in answer to 428 requests for it. While it must be admitted that the words are certainly crazy, and the vocalism most extraordinary, " The Music Goes Round and Around" possesses an intriguing rhythm.
