OBITUARY
MR. WYNNE C. S. GRAY The death has occurred of Mr. Wynne Charles Stewart Gray, of Royal Oak, aged 79. Born at Parnell, he was a son of the late Mr. Wynne P. Gray, of East Tamaki, and grandson of the late Colonel John Gray, of the 40th Regiment. Ho completed his education in England and on his return to the Mr. Gray entered the teaching profession. Later he became' an acountant and was connected with various racing clubs. Ho resided at Otahuhu for a number of years, but for. the last 33 years ho had lived at Royal Oak. Mr. Gray was n well-known figuro in the activities of tho Old Colonists' Association, and was also associated with several Orphans' clubs. Ho is survived by threo daughters. MR. 0. HAROLD SMITH [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday Mr. G. Harold Smith, whose death has occurred at a private hospital in Wellington, was a well-known resident of Pahiatua, having lived in that district for some 40 years. He was in his 70th year. Ho was the second Mayor of Pahiatua, and represented Pahiatua in Parliament for a short period. The funeral took place in Wellington to-day.
