Burns, M.L.C., returned fro mWellington yesterday. Mr. A. T. O'Donnell left for Wellington by the limited express last evening. - Tho Rev. O. G. Scrimgeour was a passenger from the South by train yesterday. Dr. E. P. Neale, secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, left for Wellington by train last evening. Mr. Justice Page, president of the Arbitration Court, and Mr. A. L. Monteith and Mr. W. C. Prime, assessors, left for Hamilton yesterday. Bishop Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, will leave for Sydney on May 15 to attend the celebrations in connection with the Bishop Broughton Centenary, which will continue until June 7. Mr. Rawdon St. John Beere, of Wellington, and Mr. Thomas Baker-Boul-ton, of Christchurcb, hare been ap. pointed acting-consular agents for France, states a Press Association message from Wellington. Mr. L. H. Nuland. managing-director in New Zealand of the Texas Company, Australasia, Limited, has been transferred to Capetown. He will be succeeded by Mr. S. F. Martin, who arrived in Auckland recently from Ss'dney,
