AN OVERSEAS VISITOR
An interesting visitor to Auckland by.» the Wanganella yesterday# was Mrs. Hilgrove McCormick, who is accompanied by her husband, Major McCormick, M.C., secretary and keeper of the records of the Duchy of Cornwall estate. Mrs. McCormick, who is young* and very tall, with gold-auburn hair, said yesterday that she was delighted with her first glimpse of New Zealand, where she will spend two weeks touring the North Island before returning to Sydney and ultimately to London, after a six months' holiday trip. She possesses a variety of interests,. including an enthusiasm for riding and golf. Majqr and Mrs. McCormick. who have been staying at the Grand Hotel, leave early this morning for Rotorua, the Chateau and the Waitomo Caves.
