YEAR IN NEW ZEALAND

"GONE LIKE A FLASH" GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S COMMENT "We have been in New Zealand just a year now and the time has gone like a "flash," said the Governor-General, Viscount Gal.way, in Wellington last week. "We have been met by the greatest amount of kindness by every section of the community." His Excellency s remarks were made in replying to the welcome extended to him when he opened the annual conference of tho United Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association. Lord Galway expressed his pleasure at meeting the representatives of the association. Lie said he knew well that the association was a very real and powerful body, that it helped in assisting the poor and needy, and that its activities were not so much above as below the surface. Tho association had made itself responsible for the aftercare of blinded soldiers, a very admirable work. When he next wrote to the King he would mention that he had been there that day, and would convey the loyal sentiments which the members had expressed to His Majesty.
