FALL IN THE WAIKATO BENEFIT TO PASTURES [from KR own correspondent] HAMILTON. Monday Further rain fell in Hamilton last night and this morning, the total for the 48 hours ended 9 a.m. to-day being .S7in. The weather cleared for a time, and the sun shone this afternoon. Conditions changed just before five o'clock, when a thunderstorm occurred and heavy rain fell. This evening the weather was showery. The rain is much needed and will prove very beneficial to farmers, who have recently top-dressed their pastures or sown new grass.
