SUPERIORITY OF BOXER

Discussing the success of the negro boxer, Leo' Kelly, over Ambrose Palmer last week the Sydney Referee's critic states: —Palmer was as great in defeat, as he ever was in victory The flesh was weak, but the spirit was unconquerable. He was beaten by a stronger, more durable and heavier hitting opponent—a great puncher, whom nature lias most magnificently endowed with fighting requisites. Leo Kelly will defeat any man, whom he can hit square on the jaw or in the ribs. Palmer is a faster, cleverer boxer, but lacks the toughness necessary to successfully combat Kelly's extraordinary natural gifts.
