CALLIOPE CLUB'S RUN The Calliope Harrier .Club commenced its seventh season's acti viti ties with » run over four miles of mixed country. Mr. E. J. Osborne officially declared the season open and, after wishing members every success, presented a fine trophy for club competition. Of the new members R. Taylor showed promise, while L. J. Laniizan and K. Drummond were nlso in good form. D. Clapham, joint holder of the Auckland junior provincial championship. ran well and should soon regain his best form. He 'will be a force to he reckoned with in senior competition this yenr. The next run will be held on May 2, from the Buffalo Hall. Birkenhead,
