SHOOTING OF DOG
A CHARGE OF CRUELTY [from our own Correspondent! HAMILTON. Mondaj The shooting of a neighbour's dog resulted in the appearance of Desmond John Barrett, a farm hand, in the Hamilton Police Court to-day charged with cruelly ill-treating the animal. Defendant admitted that he had shot the dog, which had strayed on to his employer's property at Tauwhare, and that it had run for over 100 yards before it dropped dead. Defendant was fined £1 and costs.
