INCREASE IN RETURNS
MOTOR VEHICLE LICENCES ENGLISH FIGURES ANNOUNCED (Received April IP, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless E.UGBY. April 18 A return issued by the Ministry of Transport shows that it he- gross amount received in payment of licences for road vehicles issued during the three months ended February 29 was £20,018,420. In the corresponding period last year the amount was £18,803,957. . During the month of February 32,154 mechanically propelled road vehicles were ■ registered for the first time. In February last vear the figures were b 28,480.
