HARRIER RACING
LYNNDALE CLUB'S RUN Weather conditions were unpleasant for the opening run of the Lynndale Harrier Club on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members, who covered a croas-country course of four to five" miles. Among the newcomers, White and Darbyehire showed up well, with Price, Halliday and Anderson close up. Rogers and Harris, members of last year's championship team, also ran well. The next run will be held on ;May 2. BAPTIST CLUB The official opening of the Baptist Harrier Club's season was held on Saturday with a run from the home of Mr. H. G. Fountain, Market Road, Remuera. The course lay across road and, field to One Tree Hill. Results cf the runs-in were:—Fast pack: F. Edgar, 1; W. Fountain, 2: P. Kendon, 3. Slow pack: S. Watson, 1; A. Crothall and J. Smith, dead-heat, 2. WESLEY CLUB The Wesley Harrier Club held a training run over a course at the foot of the Three Kings on Saturday. Two packs were formed, led by I. Spooner and A. Graham respectively. Good form was displayed, the results being as follows:—Fast pack: R. Skyme, 1; S. Cole. 2. W. Chappell. 3. Slow pack: B. Verry, 1; C. Moore, 2; R. Crump, 3.
