dominion championships EVENTS AT MURIWAI Owing to misunderstanding in regard to possible postponement of the meeting through bad weather, there were only small fields for the New Zeitlnnd beach motorcycle championships, conducted at Muriwai Beach yesterday by the Auckland Motorcycle Club. The beach surface was fairly dead, but. good times were recorded.

Results were:— New Zealand Beach Championship. 20 miles.-J. Dale (Rudge), 1; H Matthews (Rudge), 2; C. Buchanan (Velocette), 3. Time, 17m 5G 2-ss. There were six starters. N Warry, an Australian rider, mounted on ii Norton, led for the first 12 miles, but had to withdraw owing to the carburetter of his machine becoming loose. _ Auckland Open 500 c.c. Championship.— N Warry Norton), 1: H. Matthews (Rudge), 2; J. Dale (Rudge), 3. Time. 8m 55 2-ss. There were four starters. Auckland 350 c.c. Championship.—C. Buchnnan (Velocette), 1; Xi.
